I. Purpose and significance of fumigation
In international trade, countries in order to protect their own resources, there are imported goods to implement mandatory quarantine system. Wood packaging fumigation is to prevent harmful pests and diseases endangering the forest resources of the importing country to take a mandatory measure. Therefore, the export of goods containing wood packaging, it must be shipped before the wooden packaging for decontamination treatment, fumigation is a way of decontamination treatment.

Second, the scope of wooden packaging fumigation

Our exports of wooden packaging fumigation countries are: the United States, Canada, the European Union, Japan and Australia, of which the United States, Canada must issue an official fumigation certificate.
Wooden packaging generally refers to the materials used for packaging, padding, support, reinforcement of goods, such as wooden boxes, wooden crates, wooden pallets, padding wood, wooden barrels, wooden cushion square, sleepers, wooden liner boards, wooden shafts, wooden staves and so on.

1. If the goods to Europe are packaged in coniferous wood, a fumigation certificate shall be provided.

(1) If the factory is not located in the city where the export port is located, the fumigation shall be carried out in the local factory.
A Apply for inspection to local commodity inspection bureau 7-8 days in advance;
B Provide the packing list, invoice, contract and inspection commission to the commodity inspection bureau;
C. Agree with the Commodity Inspection Bureau on the time to carry out the inspection;
D. The factory should provide the site for fumigation, if the temperature is low, the fumigation should be carried out indoors;
F After the fumigation is completed, request the fumigation certificate from the Commodity Inspection Bureau;
G Payment to the Commodity Inspection Bureau.
(2) The factory is located in the city where the export port is located, then the fumigation can be entrusted to the shipping agent.
A Provide the shipping agent with the packing list, invoice, contract, and power of attorney for inspection;
B Apply for inspection by the shipping agent;
C fumigation certificate is delivered to the company by the shipping agent together with other documents;
D. Payment to the shipping agent.

2. The goods to the United States, Canada, no matter what kind of wooden packaging, to provide fumigation certificate, fumigation can be entrusted to the shipping agency.

(1) Provide the shipping agent with the packing list, invoice, contract and inspection authorization;
2）Apply for inspection by the shipping agent;
(3) The fumigation certificate will be delivered to the company by the shipping agent together with other documents;
4) Payment to the shipping agent.
